Our Story

Board Butter Glide Wax was established in 2012 in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, by Kazuhito Hayashi who's aim was to create a brand that is environmentally conscious, and focused on producing high quality products using local resources. Our Glide Wax is hand poured and made with locally sourced paraffin (from each manufacturing country) 100 percent free of harmful additives and fluorocarbons. We produce almost all of our products and waxing tools in-house using our own machines and assemble everything ourselves. All of our products are original designs, screen printed and labelled by our local staff. We believe in creating products that are not only better than other mainstream brands, but doing so in a way that supports other local businesses, community members, and reduces our environmental footprint too.

After years of development and testing in the mountains worldwide, Board Butter Glide Wax® is recognized as one of the fastest and most durable fluor-free waxes on the market. Board Butter is now being produced and sold worldwide.

Our goal at BBGW is to keep producing a high-performance wax and making products in-house to continue our positive impact in the ski and snowboard industry with minimal impact on the environment.
