Our Story

Board Butter Glide Wax®

Established in 2012 in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, by Kaz Hayashi whose aim was to create a brand that is environmentally conscious, and focused on producing high quality products using local resources. Our Glide Wax is hand poured and made with locally sourced paraffin (from each manufacturing country) free of environmentally harmful additives and fluorocarbons. We produce all of our wax and most of our tools in-house using our own machines and assemble as much as we can ourselves. All of our products are original designs, printed, labeled, and packaged by our local staff. We believe in creating products that are not only better than other mainstream brands, but doing so in a way that supports other local businesses, community members, and reduces our environmental footprint too.

By creating high quality products it reduces the need to throw away and buy new, which in tune helps reduce unnecessary waste and consumerism.

After years of development and testing in the mountains worldwide, Board Butter Glide Wax® is recognized as one of the fastest, most durable fluor-free waxes in the world.

Our goal at BBGW is to keep producing a high-performance top quality products to continue our positive impact in the ski and snowboard industry with minimal impact on the environment.
