At Board Butter, we're transparent about what we use and why.

Our wax starts with a highly refined hydrocarbon paraffin base, combined with carefully selected non-synthetic ingredients.

No fluorine. No PFAS. No unnecessary synthetic additives.

PLANT-BASED DOESN'T MEAN IMPACT-FREE

Plant-based waxes still require farming, land, water, processing, transportation and energy. Modern agriculture also relies heavily on fossil fuels.

Plant-based doesn't mean fossil-fuel-free.

Paraffin is produced as part of the existing petroleum refining system. Petroleum isn't extracted specifically to make your snowboard wax.

We've tested a wide range of alternative materials. Paraffin has consistently given us the performance, durability and consistency we want.

And durability matters. The longer your wax lasts, the less often you need to wax, meaning less product, packaging, manufacturing and transportation over its lifetime.

We also believe packaging matters. Our packaging minimal and always 100% recyclable.
